Dr Siona Fernandes is an Olympian and public health researcher specialising in sport participation, cultural health, and movement behaviour in diverse communities.

Siona’s approach to work is guided by three principles:

1. Evidence-informed practice

Grounded in research across sport and health, psychology, and exercise science to ensure applied, real-world relevance.

2. Context-sensitive application

Recognising the intersections of social, cultural, and environmental contexts and what key factors remain relevant in shaping practice across the settings we operate in.

3. Sustainable habits

Prioritising long-term engagement and outcomes in movement, health, and wellbeing over short-term change.
